3D Hosting Rack Create a futuristic hosting rack with Photoshop. In this tutorial, you will learn how to draw objects by creating shapes, adding styles, and repeating objects.

3D Hosting Rack Photoshop Tutorial

Step 1

Let's start out by creating a new file. I used a 400x300 pixels canvas set at 72dpi, and I filled my background with a black color. Now create a new layer set and name it 'Hosting Rack'. In a new layer and draw a rectangle with 210×28 px dimensions and #E7E7E7 color shade.

Step 2

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Shadow, Satin and Gradient Overlay blending options to your light gray rectangle layer.

Step 3

Now draw a smaller black rectangle with 78×18 px dimensions on the left side of the current design.

Step 4

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Pattern Overlay blending option to your black rectangle layer from step three. Then set the layers blending mode to Lighten.

Step 5

In a new layer draw a thin black rectangle with 92 x 4 px dimensions.

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add a Gradient Overlay blending option to your thin black rectangle layer.

Duplicate the thin black rectangle design twice and stack them together.

Step 8

Now merge down your 'Hosting Rack' layer set through Layer > Merge Layer Set. Then duplicate the hosting rack layer by how many servers you want on your design and stack them.

Step 9

Under Layer Style(Layer > Layer Style) add an Inner Shadow and Satin blending options to your Stack hosting rack layer.

Step 10

Modify the perspective of the rack design through Edit > Transform > Perspectives.
