Step 5Change the blending mode on the Curves adjustment layer to Overlay.
And here's what the image looks like with the Curves adjustment layer blended. If you look in the distance, you can see some haze like a photo taken with a film camera and no UV filter.
Step 6Now we will reduce the image contrast to match a scanned photo. Start by adding a Brightness/Contrast adjustment layer.
First, checkmark the Use Legacy option if you are using Photoshop CS3. This will use the older version of the Brightness/Contrast tool which produces a more linear look.
