Grabbing data from the channelNow we're going to place one of the channels into the layer. For this, go to Image > Apply Image. In the Apply Image tool, use the settings below. This is what your image should look like. This image is taken from the B channel. Now there are several techniques to create this golden glow Photoshop effect. We'll start from the easiest to hardest. First, change the blending mode to Overlay. Here's what your image should look like after the Overlay blending mode. It makes the picture look like it was taken in autumn but we find that the yellow cast is way too strong. Obviously, this effect won't work for the photo used in this Photoshop tutorial because those trees don't change color in Autumn. However, if you had a photo with a maple tree, then this effect would look realistic. So to reduce the cast, we'll simply reduce the opacity. Here's what it looks like after reducing the opacity. Now it looks much more realistic. ![]()
