Page 3 of 5 The second methodWasn't that easy? Now we're going to do something a little more advance but it should still be easy. Change the opacity back to 100%. Now add a layer mask. Go to Layer > Layer Mask > Reveal All. We're going to take the image and put it into the layer mask. This way, only the bright areas of the layer will show. Go to Image > Apply Image. Use the settings below: Now your layer mask should look like this. And here's what this process make the image look like. It looks slightly better than just reducing the opacity and it only takes a few more steps.
